South Coast Vision is the private eye care practice of
Mr Andrew Turnbull, Consultant Eye Surgeon.
Based in Bournemouth, I am a specialist corneal refractive and cataract surgeon with expertise in all aspects of vision correction surgery.
With South Coast Vision, you will be offered a thorough assessment of your eye problems. I will work carefully with you to find the solution that best meets your needs.
You will be treated at all times with the utmost care, skill and attention to detail, assisted by state-of-the-art diagnostic, laser and lens technology
I believe in a collaborative, team approach and have excellent relationships with other eye specialists both locally and further afield. In the event that your problem requires more than just my expertise, I will work with others to achieve the best possible outcome for you.

Eye surgery: poetry in motion
Eye surgery is precise, clean and elegant - as much art as it is science.
Nonetheless, people are understandably anxious about having anything done to their eyes.
But rest assured, most patients find the experience to be much better than they were expecting. One of Mr Turnbull's patients described her experience of cataract surgery, through the medium of haiku poetry:

SOUTH COAST VISION
Mr Turnbull consults and operates at the Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital and Private Health University Hospitals Dorset (based at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital).
Laser vision correction surgery is performed at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital (Laser Vision Eye Centre) but all consultations and follow-ups take place in Bournemouth.

It is not essential to have a GP referral, but a recent report from your optician is very helpful.
